Timberland is one of the oldest outerwear companies in the United States. It was founded in 1918 by shoemaker Nathan Swartz in Boston, Massachusetts. He was one of the first shoemakers to use injection molding in the 1960s and has been at the forefront of technology ever since. Timberland relocated its manufacturing facility from Boston to New Hampshire, where it remains to this day. The company is based in Stratham, New Hampshire, and currently makes everything from work boots to fashion streetwear
