In the 1920s, the building was once Hillside Drugstore and was owned and operated by Doc Young, Austin’s first African American pharmacist. Our absolute favorite reason to visit Hillside is to relax with a delicious hot latté or cup of coffee made with Austin's own "Little City Coffee" ... good medicine. Their baristas are friendly and the environment is unique as the interior is carefully decorated with antique shelving, bottles, cash registers, all from an abandoned pharmacy just outside of town.
